Nature Derma
Back, shoulders & arms

Body acne isn't a hygiene problem.
It's a pore problem.

Sweat, friction from clothes and thicker skin make the pores on your back and shoulders clog more easily than the ones on your face — and scrubbing makes the inflammation worse. This lotion exfoliates inside the pore while it moisturises.

Why salicylic acid for the body

It is the one exfoliating acid that is oil-soluble. That means it can travel into a pore full of sebum and loosen the dead cells and oil that have set into a plug. Water-soluble acids and scrubs stay on the surface.

Body skin is thicker than facial skin, so it tolerates a leave-on acid well — and it needs one, because the plugs sit deeper and the skin sheds more slowly.

Salicylic acid
DOES
Dissolves into sebum and loosens the plug inside the pore
ALSO
Softens the rough, bumpy texture that comes from cells piling up around follicles
SUITS
Back, shoulders, chest, upper arms — anywhere skin is bumpy or breaks out
02 · Why the body is different

Your back sweats, rubs and never sees a cleanser for long.

Facial skin gets washed twice a day and treated with serums. Body skin gets a quick soap in the shower, then spends the day under fabric — sweating, rubbing, sealing sweat and oil into the pores. Gym wear and backpacks make it worse.

And because you cannot see it easily, body acne is usually noticed late, when there are marks as well as spots.

Thicker
Body skin — tolerates a leave-on acid, but sheds slower
1%
Salicylic acid — the leave-on strength for large areas
03 · The pathway

Three steps make a body breakout. This works on two.

STEP 1Follicle · lining
Cells pile up

Dead cells around the hair follicle clump instead of shedding. Across a whole area, that is the rough, sandpaper texture on arms and shoulders.

Lotion texture
ACTS HERE
1% Salicylic Acid loosens those cells so the surface smooths and the follicle can clear.
STEP 2Pore · sebum and sweat
Oil and sweat seal the plug

Sweat under clothing mixes with sebum and traps the clumped cells in the pore.

ACTS HERE
Being oil-soluble, salicylic acid dissolves into the plug and softens it from within.
STEP 3Surface · inflammation
The spot appears

Bacteria multiply in the blocked pore and the skin responds with a red bump. Fewer plugs means fewer of these, and fewer marks left behind.

Natural Biome-Boost™
The moisturising base is not incidental: exfoliated skin loses water, and a dry, tight surface sheds unevenly. Natural Biome-Boost™ supports the barrier while the acid works.
04 · The number

Why 1%, not 2%

A body lotion covers a large area and stays on all day, often under clothes. One per cent is the strength that exfoliates inside the pore across that much skin without irritation building up. For the face, where you treat a small zone at night, our serum uses 2%.

06 · The honest timeline

What actually happens, and when

DAY 1
Hydrated, not greasy
It behaves like a body lotion first. Skin feels moisturised and the surface a little smoother.
WEEK 2
Bumps soften
Rough texture on arms and shoulders starts to smooth as clumped cells loosen.
WEEK 4–6
Fewer new spots
Pores are clearing before they seal. Breakouts on the back and shoulders come less often.
WEEK 8+
Marks fade
With fewer new spots, older marks get a chance to fade. Cover up or use sunscreen on exposed shoulders.
07 · How to use it

After the shower, every day

01
Shower, pat dry
Especially after a workout — do not let sweat sit under clothes.
02
Apply to the zones
Back, shoulders, chest, upper arms — wherever skin is bumpy or breaks out. A thin, even layer.
Apply to the zones
03
Let it absorb
A minute before dressing. Daily use is what moves the timeline.
STOP SCRUBBING
Loofahs and body scrubs on acne-prone skin spread inflammation across the whole back. Let the acid do the exfoliating.
