Nature Derma
Dull skin · the starter routine

Glow isn't a filter.
It's clean, even skin.

Skin looks dull for two reasons: a rough, oxidised surface that scatters light, and patchy pigment underneath. The wash handles the surface twice a day. The serum works on what is underneath, every morning.

01 · The two jobs

What the wash does, and what the serum does

A wash is on the skin for a minute; a serum for the whole day. The wash clears the oxidised oil and dead cells that dull the surface. The serum is the treatment: stable vitamin C that neutralises free radicals and, over weeks, evens tone.

Vitamin C Brightening Face Wash
WASH
Twice a day. Clears oxidised oil and dead cells without stripping, at skin's own pH.
10% Vitamin C Serum
SERUM
Every morning. Antioxidant defence and gradual evening of tone.
BOTH
Vitamin C — the wash for the surface, the stable serum for the layers beneath.
02 · Why skin goes dull

Indian cities are hard on skin. The surface shows it first.

Strong UV and particulate pollution oxidise the oil on the skin's surface within hours; oxidised oil and dead cells scatter light instead of reflecting it. Underneath, UV switches on pigment unevenly. Fix only one and skin still looks dull.

03 · The pathway

Three things make skin dull. The duo covers all three.

STEP 1Surface · morning and night
Oxidised oil and dead cells build up

They scatter light and make skin read grey. Harsh washes strip them off along with the barrier; gentle ones leave them behind.

Face wash foam
ACTS HERE
The Vitamin C Face Wash clears them at skin's own pH, with allantoin and glycerin so nothing feels stripped.
STEP 2Surface · all day
Free radicals form

UV and pollution create unstable molecules that damage collagen and dull the surface.

Serum texture
ACTS HERE
The 10% Vitamin C Serum neutralises them through the day, under sunscreen.
STEP 3Deep layer · melanocyte
Excess pigment is made unevenly

UV switches on tyrosinase in patches — the blotchiness that reads as uneven tone.

Aloe and hyaluronic acid in the serum
ACTS HERE
Vitamin C slows tyrosinase, so less new excess pigment is built while old pigment sheds.
The serum uses 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid — a stable form that stays clear in the bottle and converts to vitamin C in the skin. Orange serums have already oxidised.
04 · The number

Why 10% is the right serum to start with

Higher percentages are no faster at the antioxidant job and sting more on skin that is new to vitamin C. Ten per cent of a stable form does the work with almost no tingle, which means you actually use it every day — the only thing that moves the timeline. When skin is used to it, our 20% Vitamin C + E + Ferulic serum is the step up.

10%stable vitamin C — gentle enough for daily use from the first bottle.

06 · The honest timeline

What actually happens, and when

DAY 1–7
Cleaner, smoother
The wash shows first: skin looks a touch clearer and feels smoother without tightness.
WEEK 3–4
Clarity returns
One layer of cells has turned over under the serum. Skin looks brighter in daylight.
WEEK 8–12
Tone evens
Patchy pigment and post-acne marks look softer as treated layers surface.
MONTH 3+
Deeper marks
Older pigmentation needs this long. Consistency and daily SPF decide it.
07 · How to use it

Morning and night

AM
Wash, serum, sunscreen
A minute with the face wash, rinse, pat dry. Three drops of serum, a minute to settle, then sunscreen.
Morning: serum, then sunscreen
PM
Wash, then moisturise
Cleanse the same way. At night, a light moisturiser — or your salicylic acid serum if you also break out.
Night cleanse
DAILY
Keep going
Judge it at week four, not week one. The timeline is set by how fast skin turns over, not by the product.
NON-NEGOTIABLE
Sunscreen every morning over the serum. UV creates the free radicals and the excess pigment; without SPF you are undoing the routine by lunchtime.
