Salicylic
Acid

Salicylic acid is the one exfoliant that works inside the pore, not just on the surface. We formulate at 2% — the strength with the longest track record for acne — and buffer it so it exfoliates without stripping the barrier.
Because it is oil-soluble it dissolves into sebum, softening the plug that forms blackheads and whiteheads.
Salicylic acid is related to aspirin and has a mild soothing effect on inflamed spots while it exfoliates.
Regular use keeps the surface turning over evenly, so rough patches and post-acne bumps settle.
Most people see fewer new breakouts within 4–6 weeks of consistent use. Start with alternate nights if your skin is new to acids.
Other strong exfoliants or retinoids in the same routine. Stacking acids and retinoids compounds dryness and irritation. Alternate nights instead.
